At the Heath & Hawthorne medical facility/asylum, a Dr. Darke is experimenting on the chronically depressed using his Counter-Depression Treatment Protocol J23– which consists primarily of expertly applied foot tickling to a subdued subject. His current patient Marylin protests, but her rights are a thing of the past. He blindfolds her and administers the tickle treatment, driving her insane. With the knowledge gained from this session, he makes adjustments and plans to administer the revised protocol to her – Counter-Depression Treatment Protocol J24–.
