Selene carried herself like a goddess, porcelain skin, black hair, a look that could cut glass. She had big feet, size tens, long and pale, too classy to ever be in a place like this. Then they got tickled for the first time, and the laugh ripped out of her. Not a dainty giggle, no, this was raw, desperate, out of place on a woman who carried herself like a queen. But her laugh was the price, her dignity the offering. The tickle gods don’t take no for an answer. They got their tribute, and Selene gave it loud.
